Mission Statement

Our Mission

The mission of this online studio is to bring Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra to anyone seeking relief from stress, tension, worry as well as those seeking greater mobility via opening your connective tissue through Yin’s relaxation and gravity. Additionally, meditation is included in every class through breath work, postures, and the final guided meditation. Yin Yoga is for you if you are seeking a lasting experience that is creatively inspiring in your life.

Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra are relaxing, restoring, healing and can be practiced by anyone in the safety and privacy of your home, your patio, or a space of your choosing.  Now, you can experience Yin Yoga in an online Zoom class live, every Wednesday and Sunday from Boulder, Colorado.

Yoga Nidra offerings are private individual Zoom sessions (or in-person if you are in the Boulder, Colorado area).  Each Yoga Nidra session is approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours in length. Contact me if you desire to reserve time to experience the deeper meditation and transformational changes possible with Yoga Nidra.

Yin Yoga is what your mind and body have been craving.  This is your chance to experience complete relaxation without the need to pack your yoga bag and commute to a studio…just roll out your mat and create your own private yoga experience.  You are safe in your own home.  You are in control.  Get prepared to leave all your stress, busyness, worries, concerns and striving behind for 75 minutes

With consistent practice, you will learn that stress is primarily created because we fight the moment we are in. You will learn how to observe, lessen and even “let go” of stress and the effects of past traumas. In our western culture, we have temporarily lost our inner balance and our connection to the environment as we pursue our many commitments: careers, health issues, family, school pressures, errands and on and on. That missing balance is Yin Yoga; balancing the relaxation in Yin with your very busy Yang life. This is your chance to come back to your center, your middle path.

Yin Yoga acknowledges that you do not need to be ‘fixed”.  Rather, Yin Yoga provides a path to wholeness along your life journey.  Yin allows you to observe your worries, concerns, loneliness, and even past unresolved traumas, PTSD, and addictions.  And from this observing, and patience and consistency, you learn techniques to address issues that have long been plaguing your mind and body.

We know that 90% or more of patients presenting with health issues in clinics and doctor’s offices across this country have illnesses based in stress, conscious and unconscious.  In Yin class you learn how to observe your stress and interrupt it with breath work as well as postures that nurture the mind and body.   Each class ends with a guided meditation that allows your mind and body to assimilate what you just accomplished.  This is the beginning of healing.
