Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice of guided meditation into the deeper realms of your body, mind, and emotions. The term Yoga Nidra is derived from two Sanskrit words: “Yoga” meaning union between the mind and body and “Nidra” meaning sleep.
As you lie on your mat relaxing with your eyes closed, you are guided through deeper layers of relaxation in the body. Your brain remains effortlessly awake in pure awareness just below the level of sleep, while your senses are resting. YN is a powerful tool to begin to access a greater state of concentration, relaxation, creativity thereby opening inner “doors” to self-healing and spiritual growth.
Your Yoga Nidra sessions begin with a deep grounding meditation session, exploring your 1st chakra, your root chakra at the base of your spine. This chakra is associated with the element of Earth and allows you to develop a feeling of safety and connection to Mother Earth. Additional sessions expand upward from your root chakra to your remaining major chakras.
Private sessions are offered by Janet via Zoom or in person if you are in the Boulder, CO area. Contact me for private meditative Yoga Nidra sessions to customize your personal experience. Specifically, we can discuss your needs, concerns, session time(s) and pricing.
